Deponia Doomsday is the fourth installment of a series of humorous adventure games by the German studio Daedalic Entertainment. Originally, the cycle was to end with the third part, meaningfully Goodbye Deponia, but following the requests of fans, the creators decided to continue the story.
Story
The protagonist of Deponia Doomsday is Rufus, the protagonist of the previous games in the series. In the introduction to the game, the protagonist experiences a vision of the destruction of the sky city of Elysium and his native Deponia. After its surface is taken over by monsters called Fewlocks, and Rufus apparently becomes the last living representative of humanity, the hero decides to blow up the planet. After waking up from the nightmare, Rufus decides to do everything in his power to prevent this terrifying vision from materializing. To this end, he will use the help of professor McChronicle and the time machine he invented to undertake a crazy journey through time and space.
Gameplay
In terms of mechanics, Deponia Doomsday does not differ from previous games in the series. So it is a classic point-and-click adventure game in which the most important thing is to talk to NPCs, explore levels and solve logical puzzles. Occasionally players will experience some variations, for example in the form of a racing car. As befits an adventure game, the game offers only a single-player story mode.
