Story
The Nantucket screenplay is a continuation of the legendary novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville. The action begins a few years after the events of the book and tells the story of Ishmael, the only sailor who survived the Pequod ship.The authors have prepared an extensive story layer, allowing us to learn the full truth about Moby Dick and to defeat the curse associated with this legendary white sperm whale once and for all, to which Captain Ahab fell.
Gameplay
Nantucket is a hybrid of strategy and RPG. We play the role of Ishmael, who is the captain of the ship here. While having fun, we travel the seas and oceans, visit cities, transport goods, undertake tasks and, above all, hunt whales. The player must recruit the crew and give them orders and assign duties. It is also necessary to take care of the ship itself and invest in improvements. The game is all about money. We spend the funds earned on fishing on the development of the ship and hiring new people, which in turn allows us to undertake more and more dangerous tasks. We spend a lot of time using the turn-based combat system. With it, we hunt whales and take part in sea battles, e.g. against pirates. At the same time, the character of Ishmael was treated here like the heroes of RPG games . It is described by a set of statistics that can be improved for the accumulated experience points. Production also offers a wide variety of skills to learn.
