This is the first production of the Ukrainian GSC Game World studio, responsible for games such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., American Conquest, and the previous installments of the Cossacks series, after reactivation in 2014. Although the studio did not manage to complete its previous team in its entirety after a three-year absence on the market, most of the people responsible for the first and second parts were working on the game.
