Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury is a PC expansion pack to the Crusader Kings II strategy from 2012. This is a ping-armor, so to run the basic version of the game. Both productions were developed by Paradox Developments studio, the headlines also include such titles as Hearts of Iron IV, Stellaris and Europa Universalis IV. Gameplay Holy Fury does not make radical changes to the formula of Crusader Kings II. Instead, the authors focused on adding new content and developing several aspects of the game. The supplement focuses on the so-called the northern crusades, also known as the Baltic crusades, against their pagan neighbors in northern Europe. Players can direct either side of these conflicts. Thanks to Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury the rulers of pagan countries receive the option of reforming the religion practiced in their territories, giving rise to a new church and establishing different principles of faith. The fun is also enriched by the appearance of the so-called legendary bloodlines, under which the heirs of great warriors receive special bonuses. Numerous new crusade events have also been added. The DLC introduces the lodges of pagan warriors into the game, in which characters can advance and gain additional skills and new allies. Coronations also play an important role, forcing the rulers to find clergy ready in ceremonies to confirm that their power comes from God. It is also interesting to start playing on a fictional map of Europe, divided between many small countries fighting for their position, as well as the option of playing a campaign on a random map. In addition, thanks to Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury, devoted Catholics can become saints, which gives glory to their successors and significantly increases the importance of their eternal resting places. In turn, new laws related to succession appeared in pagan countries. Councils of elders can influence the division of territories among heirs, and the brothers are given the option of fighting duels over the father's legacy, which facilitates the unification of divided lands.
