Thousands of years ago, the elven empire of Manacalon was crushed by a mysterious Cataclysm that changed the world beyond recognition. Rumors have it that the evil deity's plots were behind it. The team of daredevils we have created is tasked with investigating the disappearance of one of the expeditions that regularly venture into the ruins of the elven empire in search of powerful artifacts. The story itself is rather pretext and does not attract our attention too much.GameplaySolasta: Crown of the Magister is a tactical RPG game in which we observe the action from an isometric perspective. During the game, we control a team of four heroes. We start the game with creating our team. The production offers access to several different races (e.g. humans, elves, dwarves, halflings) and character classes (warrior, thief, cleric and mage). Each of them has different special abilities. We also have the ability to customize the personality and draw statistics.The title was developed in such a way as to resemble a classic, "paper" RPG as much as possible. The creators of the Tactical Adventures studio put emphasis on the freedom of the game and the three-dimensional maps - during the game we can climb and fly, which often helps to gain an advantage over opponents. Combat is played in a turn-based system, and success requires the appropriate use of the talents of each character. It is also possible to use elements of the environment - e.g. knocking down columns or wall fragments or destroying bridges. Other factors, such as lighting and character size, also play a role. We can use light as a weapon, but by doing so, we also reveal the position of our heroes , which exposes them to attack. The game also allows you to use small heroes when exploring - they are able to get to places where others will not enter , which is sometimes very useful, but can also expose a lonely character to death.
