Design: Verner Panton . Concept: The Verner Panton Globe Lamp is a world-famous classic designed by Verner Panton in 1969 but absolutely no less relevant today. The lamp now comes with a colored glass top and bottom reflector, which allows for a stronger light. This model with a glass reflector is therefore better suited than its sibling models Verner Panton Globe Pendant Small and Verner Panton Globe Glass Pendant Small to be hung over the dining table or other places where good light is needed. Inside is the 5-part sculptural reflector, now made of Glass and Aluminum, and lacquered in orange and blue. Overall, the new combination of reflectors provides a more pleasant and usable warm light. Use a clear bulb to achieve the most beautiful light. Please note that due to its fragility, Verner Panton Globe is delivered with carriers who will contact you before shipping. Delivery times may therefore vary. It is essential to avoid greasy fingers and scratches in the acrylic shade that the included gloves are used when assembling and hanging the lamp. Globe is, with more than 40 years of experience, one of the most iconic pendant lamps, and certainly one of Panton's most recognizable designs worldwide. Globe , with its futuristic and voluminous, but extremely elegant appearance, is ideal both in the long hallway, in the office or over the dining table. The transparent acrylic shade beautifully embraces the "floating" 5-part sculptural reflector, which softly spreads the light around the lamp. Experience the Globe series in the two well-known versions, with a reflector in hand-polished aluminum or opal glass. The aluminum reflector is alternately lacquered on the inside in blue, orange and white. Reflector in opal glass, comes with the upper chrome-plated on the inside, for the best possible spread of the light. Both are available in sizes of 40cm or 50cm diameter. As something completely new, Globe is produced in a version with a reflector in an exclusive brass finish. This version is not part of the original expression, but is the manufacturer Verpan's tribute to the iconic Verner Panton. The model with a brass finish has a fantastically unique expression and creates a beautiful warm light wherever it is hung. The Danish designer Verner Panton(1926-1998) was a leading and significant part of the absolute heyday of Danish furniture design. Panton had close relations with both Arne Jacobsen, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Henningsen, whose expression and design language, as is well known, are known and loved by people all over the world. Despite Verner Panton being part of Danish furniture design's important mid-century, his expression and design philosophy were far from the simple one practiced by his Danish and Scandinavian colleagues. His expression was provocative, playful, futuristic but also full of personality. The passion for exploring the possibilities of unconventional material types and flashy colours was an essential part of the DNA of many of his sculptural works.
