The story behind: In the years 1948-1960, George Nelson and his staff designed more than 150 watches for the American watchmaker Howard Miller. The collection consists of a mixture of wall clocks and table clocks, with the common features that the shapes are played freely and that none of the clocks have numbers on the dial. By examining the modern approach to the use of clocks, Nelson came to the conclusion that one was no longer dependent on the numbers on the dial, but rather read the position of the hands.
