Jagged Alliance: Rage! is a tactical strategy game with a turn-based combat system in which we retake a small tropical island from the hands of a merciless warlord. The title is a spin-off of the legendary Jagged Alliance series. The series was born in 1996 and has had many hits, as well as side titles. After the bankruptcy of bitComposer games in 2014, which was responsible for the development of the brand, the rights to it were taken over by the Swedish company THQ Nordic (Nordic Games). The publisher commissioned the German studio Handy games, previously specializing mainly in the mobile segment, to produce a new title. Jagged Alliance Action: Rage! takes place twenty years after the events of the first installment of the series. Players move to a tropical island dominated by the troops of a merciless warlord who earns money from drug trafficking. The task of the group of mercenaries we lead is to eliminate all enemy forces. The heroes carry out missions in extremely difficult conditions, without external support and without adequate means to fight, they have to overcome all unexpected obstacles standing in their way. Gameplay in Jagged Alliance: Rage! was presented in a classic isometric view on three-dimensional and large maps. The turn-based combat system allows you to choose a strategy that suits you and plan each subsequent move. In our unit there are many mercenaries with different life experience, skills and character traits. Ivan Dolvich is a former Red Army major specializing in automatic weapons and strength tasks. Charlene Higgens is a SWAT squad member who is an indispensable sniper. Kyle Simmons, in turn, is a specialist in hidden missions, who uses silent weapons and has amazing reflexes. During the mission, we must make optimal use of the unique skills of the team members. In addition to standard opponents, the player's goal is also commanders, coordinating the actions of all enemies. In addition to playing alone, the creators also prepared a network cooperation mode, designed for up to two people. Jagged Alliance: Rage! departed from the realistic graphics of its predecessors. The creators decided on a more comic and exaggerated visual style and the use of highly contrasting colors.
