It suggests that we can only understand why EU agencies are able to build EU regulatory capacity if we acknowledge that national regulators provide their expertise, staff and resources to the regulatory processes taking place in these EU bodies. This raises the puzzle of why national regulators are willing to provide ''life support'' to potentially rival organisations. The book is devoted to answering this question in order to understand how EU regulatory capacity is created in the absence of a full supranational regulatory bureaucracy. To do so, the book studies to what extent national regulators from two countries (the UK and Germany) support EU agencies in their work across four policy sectors (drug safety, food safety, maritime safety and banking supervision). The book makes a significant contribution by developing a bureaucratic politics perspective that highlights the importance of national regulators for EU regulatory capacity building.

Mendel found happiness in science and he was able to explain the theory of new scientific facts. He was not a tragic figure, he did not work to become famous, but to be useful. His pea research has now been appreciated as a genius accomplishment of a scientist. The book is published at the occasion of Mendel´s birthday bicentennial.

In this book, different online teaching methods via technology-supported teaching have been implemented, and at the end of the lesson, based on the feedback from students on these online technology-supported teaching tools, most educators found that there are positive responses from majority of students, in terms of their learning, attitudes, thinking and decision-making process, apart from the challenges faced by the students in the beginning, with regards to the new approaches and methodology used by their teachers during online teaching. There are eight contributed chapters in this book covering secondary school-level curriculum up to higher institutional-level curriculum that forming a new system of T&L for post-COVID-19 pandemic.
