Design: Alvar Aalto in 1936 for Artek Concept: Wall Shelf 112 is a balancing act between wood and steel and uses slatted loops as brackets to support a strong birch veneer panel. The brackets can be placed both below and above the panel, in which case they also act as book supports. This wall shelf is elegant and practical and shows the designer Alvar Aalto's love for natural materials.
