Platypus is a dynamic action game that refers to such classics as Project-X, Katharsis and Gradius. The player sits at the controls of a small spaceship. Its task is to eliminate the enemies appearing on the screen. Story The plot of the game is trivial and is only an excuse to organize a slaughter on the monitor screen. One of the largest metropolises in the game world - Collosatropolis - has grown to an exorbitant size (it covers the entire continent). Inhabitants can no longer fit in it. Collosatropolis authorities come to the conclusion that the only way to solve this problem is to conquer neighboring lands. They decide to attack the Mungolan state. Its inhabitants are completely unprepared to resist such an invasion. Their armed forces are downright symbolic. They have only one squadron of the F-27 Platypus prototype fighters. One of them is controlled by a player. Gameplay The gameplay is very simple. The player maneuvers the controlled fighter in such a way to avoid enemy missiles and at the same time shoot down as many enemy units as possible. Successful kills are of course scored. After the game is over, you can enter the list of the best players. The player has several fighters at his disposal. When he loses all of them, the game will automatically fail. The player has several dozen levels to complete. As you complete them, the difficulty level gradually increases. The player receives better and better weapons and gadgets (e.g. temporarily increasing selected parameters of the controlled Platypus). An interesting fact is that you can play with a friend on one computer in order to eliminate enemy fighters at the same time.
