Material of Amouage, it is a perfume that represents immateriality, teaching us to look beyond appearances and realize that what matters is often invisible, an experience similar to being in a forest and seeing in the torrid shadow a multitude of textures and various shades of woods, leaves and bark.  The main ingredient has a dual personality: warm and invigorating, bold and soft, a paradox through the materiality centered on Vanilla Absolute. Material opens with the brilliant notes of Incense and Elemi, which together rise and transform the Vanilla Absolute into a sacred balm. A luminous, golden shade of Benzoin blends softly with notes of Tonka Bean, blanketing the tiare-like Vanilla before falling into a dry wood base. The ambery nuances of Labdanum, the cocoa-rich moisture of Patchouli and the animalic strength of Oud highlight the dark side of their Queen, yet it is the light that prevails through the pulp of a soft Osmanthus immersed in White Musks that seal the finale, taking the Vanilla to a celestial realm. “Material by Amoauge revolves entirely around vanilla absolute, one of the most iconic natural substances used in perfumery. In this fragrance, the key ingredient has a dual personality, presenting both a comfortable side and a leathery and animalic facet; constantly moving between innocence and wildness.
