The beautiful, minimalist grinder in polished stainless steel adds an elegant cohesion to the table setting. The ceramic CrushGrind® mechanism is located at the top of the grinder, and thanks to this thoughtful design, no spices sprinkle onto the table when the grinder is placed down. The positioning of the grinding mechanism offers several advantages: gravity naturally guides the spices into the grinder and results in a more consistent grind. At the same time, the grinder fits comfortably in the hand, providing a pleasant grip and better control. With four settings from fine to coarse, it’s easy to adjust seasoning according to different preferences. The ceramic grinding mechanism works for salt, pepper, and dried spices, ensuring the flavors are truly brought out. The design is inspired by the natural area around the small village of Dorotea. Here, ice has created a landscape of mountains, valleys and large open areas which together form soft, fluid shapes that endlessly flow together. This transition is often overlooked, but the adventurous and surprising part of the design lies precisely here. With its minimalist and organic shapes, the Dorotea collection combines tradition and artisanal design on an international level. Dorotea is produced from 91% post-consumer recycled stainless steel. This means that the stainless steel has had a past life. In addition to being extremely durable, stainless steel can be melted down and transformed into new products without losing its properties and qualities.
