Normaal gesproken slaagt slechts 1 op de 10.000 vaten erin een fles Johnnie Walker Blue Label te verwerken, maar voor deze editie slaagt slechts één op de 25.000 vaten erin dit ongrijpbare karakter tot leven te brengen. Dit is een whisky die perfect in balans is – door zowel de ervaring van een Master Blender als een Master Chef. Het is een prachtig uitgebalanceerde whisky met zowel zoete als hartige smaken. Je ervaart tonen van bloedsinaasappelen en rode bessen, gecombineerd met zoete houtkruiden, een vleugje gerookt vlees en een vleugje zout en peper. Dewar's White Label Whisky Originally founded in 1846 by John Dewar, the Dewars brand is now a globally renowned blended Scotch Whisky. Their Iconic White Label whisky was created the year after their Aberfeldy distillery was opened in 1899 by their first Master Blender, A.J.Cameron. It soon became their best-selling variation.  The Aberfeldy distillery remains in production today 125 years later. It's located in the beautiful Perthshire Countryside, at the foot of the Scottish Highlands. It is this distillery which providies the whisky at the heart of the White Label blend, amongst a total of 40 different whiskies. Fun fact: The Celtic Truth knot found on the bottles, is formed of three interlocking D's - from the three founders: John, Tommy and John Alexander Dewar On the nose there is a honey sweetness, joined by peach and apples as well as a little wood and hay. The palate is smooth, with a medium depth to it. A smoky oakiness comes through which is joined by a vanilla toffee sweetness and a touch of honey.  The finish is long but doesn't linger and brings cut herbs and more honeyed sweetness.  Meer van Dewar's Perfect Serve Delicious savoured however you enjoy your whisky, and is perfect with a drop of water or over ice.  However it was Tommy Dewar (one of the founders), which created the 'Original Highball' in 1892 whilst in New York. He asked for his whisky to be served in a tall glass, along with soda and ice - and so the drink was born.

Citadelle Vive le Cornichon Gin Since 1996, Château de Bonbonnet in the southwest of France has been the home of Citadelle Gin. Citadelle is proud of its geographic location, and from this they take inspiration. Thie aim was to distill the essence of their region into one perfectly crisp spirit. Each season, Citadelle's master blender Alexandre Gabriel and his team allow their curiosity to run free. In this way Citadelle creates its limited edition gins. Unexpected flavours and botanicals are blended, until something unique, special, and most importantly, delicious is created. With their Vive le Cornichon (their sixth limited edition) the star is the small, cornichon pickle (as the name would suggest!). Sourced from Maison Marc (which is renowned by foodies) in Burgundy, these cornichons are grown without insecticides, herbicides or preservatives. When finally ready for harvest, each is then picked by hand. Whilst this may be seen as unusual, it gives a surprising and enticing flavour profile to the gin. On the palate there are intense notes of juniper and aniseed, which is followed by a touch of vinegar and salinity from the pickles. The finish is long, lingering on the mouth and is reminiscent of mustard and pearl onions. Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum This rum is part of Plantation’s Signature Blends range. A series of rums from the Caribbean and South pacific that are finished in France, using local knowledge from the Cognac region, and using secret recipes from Maison Ferrand, producers of cognac and other fine spirits. Plantation XO 20th Anniversary Rum is made from extra-old rums from Barbados and was developed to honour Alexandre Gabriel’s 20 years as Master Blender. The rums are chosen for structure and aromatic characteristics that are well suited for intensive oak ageing. From its first release, this edition was very well received by rum enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike, and over a decade later this rum continues to receive positive reviews and top awards. This Signature Blend is made using rums from Barbados, which have first been aged in bourbon casks under the tropical sun for 8-15 years. When ready, the barrels set sail for France to be further aged on the continent for 2-10 years, using a mixture of new white oak, bourbon and Ferrand (cognac) casks, each with a different level of toasting. This centuries-old process of “double ageing“ adds smoothness and complexity to the finished rum. Bacardi Caribbean Spiced It started as a family dream in Cuba, back in the 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardí Massó founded BACARDI. He bought a small distillery in Santiago de Cuba and this is where he radically changed the way rum was typically produced, making spirits that were smooth and light bodied. Today, BACARDI is an iconic worldwide brand with production sites across the globe, and with a wide and varied choice of tasty spirits. Bacardi Caribbean Spiced is their first premium spiced aged spirit drink. Taking inspiration from her home in the Caribbean, surrounded by coconut trees, Bacardi rum blender Noidys Herrera has taken a unique and unwidely used part of the coconut to create this expression - the magic comes from the coconut sugar blossom. A blend of a light aged rum and a heavy aged rum, with bold smoky flavours of molasses, is used for the base and together are blended with the coconut blossom sugar, pineapple and coconut water. Once rested and then filltered, cinnamon and vanilla are also blended into the spirit before being rested again and filtered once more for clarity and colour. Coming from the Aztec Nahuatl language, the name Zacapa means “on the river of grass. Proudly made in Guatemala, Zacapa 23 Rum is a blend of rums aged between 6-23 years. They age the rum using casks that previously held robust American whiskies and fine wines, giving this delicious rum a complex and balanced sip. The Process Zacapa Rum is made using the first press of virgin sugar cane, instead of molasses (which is more common). By using sugar cane, it makes the rum sweeter and smoother. The lower temperature also directly influences the oxygen levels which are lower as well, and this lower oxygen level aids in a slower aging process.
