Suntory World Whisky AO In 2019, SUntory announced the release of their AO edition. This is truly a world whisky, and leverages the fact that the Suntory Group owns distilleries in five of the world’s most renowned whisky-regions; Japan, the United States, Scotland, Canada and Ireland. AO in Japanese translates roughly as the colour of the ocean - a blue / green, and is used represent the oceans which connect these regions.  Each of these regions, and distilleries enjoys its own distinctive climate and origins - thereby producing a distinct and unique taste. Their chief blender (Fifth generation Suntory chief blender, Shinji Fukuyo) developed the final blend using original elements from these five regions to create their first globally blended whisky. Fun Fact: The bottle is five sided, which represents the five different whisky regions which are used in creating this whisky. As each distillery uses their own fermentation techniques, shapes and sizes of pot stills, and assortment of casks - there is an abundance of blending opportunities. It is the Master Blender who oversees this process to ensure the quality.  The result of this blending and knowledge is a full bodied cognac. Having obtained land from the King of Spain in 1758, Jose Antonio de Cuervo y Valdes began producing Tequila Today, using the experience and craftmanship which has been handed down through generations, Cuervo still produce quality Tequilas. A true silver Tequila, Cuervo Silver is smooth, and brings out the tones of agave, caramel and fresh herbs in its flavour.   Interesting fact: Real Tequila's are made from Blue Agave, and only the Agave Azul Tequilana Weber variety. Commonly mistaken for a cactus, it’s actually a part of the lily (amaryllis) family. More from Jose Cuervo Perfect Serve Whilst this can be enjoyed as a shot, it also works well in the mix. We really like this in a refreshing Frozen Cuervo Margarita. In a blender, add a glass full of ice, 60ml of tequila, 30ml of fresh lime juice, 30ml of orange liqueur, and 30 - 60ml of agave (or sugar) syrup (Depending on how sweet you like your drink). Blend until blended, but not for too long. Salt the rim of your chosen glass and pour in the frozen margarita. Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Chivas Regal 18Y Gold Signature Whisky Produced by Chivas Brothers (which is owned by Pernod Ricard) at the Strathisla distillery in Keith, Moray in Speyside (Scotland, UK). This distillery was founded in 1786, and is the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery. Launched in 1997 and created by Master Blender Colin Scott, this 18 year old aged whisky is a blend of over 20 single malts from across Scotland. The aging within the carefully selected casks develops intense flavours and ensures a refined whisky. According to Chivas it has an incredible 85 different flavour notes in each drop. So truly complex, rich and luxurious. The nose is rich and indulgent, drawing you into the whisky with multiple layers of aroma. Dried fruits and buttery toffee merge with dark chocolate and warming spices, all of which are rounded off with a touch of marmalade. On the palate the warming spices come through, on a drink which is velvet like, coating the mouth perfectly. The marmalade again comes through, merging with dark chocolate, a little mellow oak and smoke as well as a touch of elegant floral tones.  On the finish the warm notes of spice, oak and in particular cinnamon come to the mouth - and finish extremely warm and long. Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years Whisky Originally launched as simply Johnnie Walker Platinum Label, it was renamed to Aged 18 Years in mid 2017. As the name would suggest, this is a whisky which is blended from hand-picked whiskies which have been cask aged for 18 years. This is an intensely rich Scotch, and features a combination (up to 18) of different whiskies, which are chosen for their specific depth of flavour and character inherent in the distillery. These include the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol. Through each passing season of the ageing process, layers of complex flavours are built, the blending is then done by master blender Jim Beveridge, to ensure it meets the 'platinum' standard like its original name. The aroma of this is truly indulgent, and brings rich, opulent spices. Joining this is a hint of chocolate, and a touch of smoke. In the mouth there is a burst of sweetness from fruit which comes across in a decadent smooth mouth-feel. Floral notes, a touch of smoke, candied fruits and plump sultanas tantalise the taste-buds too. The finish is long and sumptuous, with warming cinnamon and honey. Lillet Rosé Apéritif For the creation of the original Kina Lillet, Paul and Raymond Lillet took inspiration from Father Kermann, a travelling monk after his return from South America. Upon his return he produced medicinal using herbs and spices. It originally included quinine, and was the French equivalent of a Gin & Tonic to ward off malaria.  Of the three remaining Lillet's available today (Rouge, Rosé and Blanc) their Rosé is the newest, coming to market in 2011. This was created under cellarmaster Jean Bernard Blancheton, and is (as the name would suggest) a rosé-wine-based liqueur. Both the aroma and taste of this liqueur is full of berries, orange blossom and a citrus note of grapefruit. On the palate there is a little acidity to start, which soon melts into the flavours which are headlined through their aromas. It finishes smooth and highly refreshing. More from Lillet Perfect Serve Typically enjoyed as an apéritif, it can be enjoyed neat or with a wedge of citrus in the glass. It can also easily be lengthened with soda water of tonic to create a refreshing lower alcoholic drink, perfect for the warm days. Or how about something refreshingly different? Chivas Regal 18Y Gold Signature Whisky Produced by Chivas Brothers (which is owned by Pernod Ricard) at the Strathisla distillery in Keith, Moray in Speyside (Scotland, UK). This distillery was founded in 1786, and is the oldest continuously operating Highland distillery. Launched in 1997 and created by Master Blender Colin Scott, this 18 year old aged whisky is a blend of over 20 single malts from across Scotland. The aging within the carefully selected casks develops intense flavours and ensures a refined whisky. According to Chivas it has an incredible 85 different flavour notes in each drop. So truly complex, rich and luxurious. The nose is rich and indulgent, drawing you into the whisky with multiple layers of aroma. Dried fruits and buttery toffee merge with dark chocolate and warming spices, all of which are rounded off with a touch of marmalade. On the palate the warming spices come through, on a drink which is velvet like, coating the mouth perfectly. The marmalade again comes through, merging with dark chocolate, a little mellow oak and smoke as well as a touch of elegant floral tones.  On the finish the warm notes of spice, oak and in particular cinnamon come to the mouth - and finish extremely warm and long. Dewar's White Label Whisky Originally founded in 1846 by John Dewar, the Dewars brand is now a globally renowned blended Scotch Whisky. Their Iconic White Label whisky was created the year after their Aberfeldy distillery was opened in 1899 by their first Master Blender, A.J.Cameron. It soon became their best-selling variation.  The Aberfeldy distillery remains in production today 125 years later. It's located in the beautiful Perthshire Countryside, at the foot of the Scottish Highlands. It is this distillery which providies the whisky at the heart of the White Label blend, amongst a total of 40 different whiskies. Fun fact: The Celtic Truth knot found on the bottles, is formed of three interlocking D's - from the three founders: John, Tommy and John Alexander Dewar On the nose there is a honey sweetness, joined by peach and apples as well as a little wood and hay. The palate is smooth, with a medium depth to it. A smoky oakiness comes through which is joined by a vanilla toffee sweetness and a touch of honey.  The finish is long but doesn't linger and brings cut herbs and more honeyed sweetness.  Meer van Dewar's Perfect Serve Delicious savoured however you enjoy your whisky, and is perfect with a drop of water or over ice.  However it was Tommy Dewar (one of the founders), which created the 'Original Highball' in 1892 whilst in New York. He asked for his whisky to be served in a tall glass, along with soda and ice - and so the drink was born.

Citadelle Vive le Cornichon Gin Since 1996, Château de Bonbonnet in the southwest of France has been the home of Citadelle Gin. Citadelle is proud of its geographic location, and from this they take inspiration. Thie aim was to distill the essence of their region into one perfectly crisp spirit. Each season, Citadelle's master blender Alexandre Gabriel and his team allow their curiosity to run free. In this way Citadelle creates its limited edition gins. Unexpected flavours and botanicals are blended, until something unique, special, and most importantly, delicious is created. With their Vive le Cornichon (their sixth limited edition) the star is the small, cornichon pickle (as the name would suggest!). Sourced from Maison Marc (which is renowned by foodies) in Burgundy, these cornichons are grown without insecticides, herbicides or preservatives. When finally ready for harvest, each is then picked by hand. Whilst this may be seen as unusual, it gives a surprising and enticing flavour profile to the gin. On the palate there are intense notes of juniper and aniseed, which is followed by a touch of vinegar and salinity from the pickles. The finish is long, lingering on the mouth and is reminiscent of mustard and pearl onions.
