With the Tulle vase series, Kähler celebrates nostalgia and romance with hand-painted decorations inspired by the older Kähler vases. The small tulle vase of 10 cm in height and 9.5 cm in diameter is hand painted and created by hand. The vase has a creamy white base color and is painted with swirls and spirals in a cobalt blue clay colour, which is subsequently glazed. The neck of the vase itself is kept free of the blue brush strokes and is therefore simple and clean in its expression. The vase is created in a deliciously authentic and artistic expression in a modern context in a small size, where we have played with creating extra depth and life through deep and rich glazes that originate from the old Kähler workshop. It is one of the most skilled painters from that time, Tulle Emborg, who has now been given the honor of naming the Tulle series. And you can both see and feel that there is a person behind it, who has taken the trouble to paint the vase by hand in order to create an expressive and living expression. In the decorations, you can also clearly sense the artistic understanding and the intuitive movements that make the Tulle vase a small work of art in itself and give it a very special nostalgic authenticity. The round shapes create a sculptural and graphic silhouette, so the vase can easily stand alone without flowers as part of both a romantic and modern decor.
