A real-time arcade strategy game from Pocketwatch Games, the authors of the award-winning Monaco robber game: What's Yours Is Mine. The developers' goal was to create an RTS that focuses on strategic creativity, instead of the hard-to-learn, lightning-fast StarCraft-like management, the result of which is Tooth and Tale for PC and PS4.Tooth and Tale takes place during the animal revolution, stylized as the conflicts of the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, in which mustard gas skunks, wild boars with flamethrowers, fox snipers and militant mice run down their throats. As you can deduce, several factions take part in the battles, whose armies consist of various species of animals.At first glance, Tooth and Tail on PC and PS4 resembles a classic RTS, which is based on collecting resources, expanding the base and tactical combat. However, unlike most real-time strategies, we do not give orders to individual squads here. Instead, the player takes control of a pre-selected mouse commander who moves across the battlefield with a banner in hand. His tasks include designating places for the construction of various buildings and summoning the army and setting its targets for attack.Since we only have one character under control, the controls are similar to action games: we move around the map with the pad buttons or the WSAD keys, while using the mouse we summon the troops to each other. Thanks to this solution, many processes that the player usually has to supervise personally in Tooth and Tail are automated in order to be able to fully focus on the action.
