DeadCore is a first-person arcade game by 5 Bits Games, which combines shooter and platformer elements. The player's task is to reach the very top of a huge tower consisting of structures floating in the air.
Gameplay
The player takes on the role of a hero who, after a long tearing through magnetic clouds, finally lands at the foot of a gigantic tower suspended in a mysterious void. The character doesn't remember who he is or how exactly he got there. After the first few steps, however, he comes across a message from an unknown source suggesting that he will find the answers to these questions at the top of the tower and that there is not much time to get there. As we get closer to the final goal, we slowly get to know the next pieces of the fictional puzzle, which at the end will allow us to discover the whole truth about this world.
The player's task is to climb higher and higher levels of the tower. Along the way, we encounter numerous aggressive robots that we have to fight, just like in traditional FPS games. At the same time, the route itself is very difficult to overcome and requires precise jumps and ingenious ways to reach seemingly inaccessible places, all in the style known from platformers. In addition to the standard equipment, the player also has a gadget that allows him to activate and deactivate individual components of the tower, which is used when solving numerous logical puzzles. In addition, during the campaign, we regularly gain additional skills that allow us to perform new maneuvers and acrobatics.
