Hitchhiker: A Mystery Game is a mystery adventure game by Mad About Pandas studio. The player takes on the role of an amnesic man who hitchhikes to discover his own identity.
Story
The main character of the game Hitchhiker is the title hitchhiker. The man affected by amnesia does not know his identity, does not know under what circumstances he lost his memory, or where he should go. Trying to unravel the mystery of his own past, the man gets into five more cars and travels with their drivers along the deserted American highway, following in the footsteps of someone who somehow seems familiar to him. Along the way, our student takes part in events that make him question the reality that surrounds him.
Gameplay
In Hitchhiker we observe the action from the first person perspective ( FPP ). During the game, we travel in five cars, in the company of five completely different people - from a quiet farmer to a waitress returning from work. During the rides, we must listen to our interlocutors and carefully look around at the surroundings.The source of clues for us may turn out to be both the stories from the life of each driver and the immediate surroundings of the motorway (like billboards standing next to it), and even potentially insignificant little things like a matchbox found. We also choose dialogue options from time to time. In this way, we not only push the conversation to the desired track, but also discover the dark secrets of the main character.
