Coffee Lovers Roasting Experience for Two - Gift Experience

Coffee Lovers Roasting Experience for Two - Gift Experience

HEJ Coffee was conceived in Sweden and born in Bermondsey. Following a brief marriage to a large Swedish coffee conglomerate, the team left the big corporate world to go back to what they loved most. After the divorce they kept the name, the café and the strong Swedish values. It was the starting point to carry on the dream, continuing their passion for all things coffee. Today they own artisan neighbourhood coffee shops, they roast their beans in-house at their London roastery in Elephant & Castle, and run a barista school helping to champion baristas to make better coffee. As wholesale coffee suppliers they also deliver coffee beans to businesses, restaurants and cafes. Hej Coffee source coffee direct from farmers or though established trading companies, roasts the beans at their in-house roastery in London and through passionate craftsmanship they turn those green beans into something rather special Join the HEJ team at our Roastery in Elephant and Castle for a day you will not forget. You and your guest will learn all the ticks of the roasting trade. They will talk you through how flavours are developed in the roasting process and how airflow, temperature and drum speed affect your coffee’s taste profile. This is a hands-on experience so you can look forward to diving in and operating the commercial Besca Roaster. The fun doesn’t stop here! After you’ve roasted the perfect batch of coffee you’ll get to try your creation. For this part there is a cupping station so you can taste and compare a whole variety of coffees from around the world. Once your coffee is roasted you’ll be taken over to the barista bar and shown how to operate a professional espresso machine. Fresh espresso in hand, add ice and a few liquors to get started in the coffee 'til cocktails masterclass. To complete your experience you’ll be sent off with your very own bag of coffee as a delicious memento! Find full information here
