Salvia nemorosa East Friesland sometimes referred to as ‘Ostfriesland’ is a striking fully hardy perennial bearing nectar-rich spikes of violet-blue flowers, which sits upon mid green wrinkled leaves. Our Salvia East Friesland takes 2-5 years to grow to its full height and once established, is drought-tolerant and so is perfect for the end of the garden where the hosepipe cannot reach. East Friesland will set off a wide range of garden aesthetics including; wildlife gardens, Mediterranean climate gardens, contemporary and even formal.  Salvias are compact and so fantastic for under planting in your flower beds beneath your roses and shrubs. They also make a wonderful low splash of colour surrounding your entrances. East Friesland is a nectar-rich perennial so will come back each year and attract many pollinators.
