Foxglove ‘Panther’ is a stunning perennial and a traditional British wildflower that stands out in many garden settings. If you’re looking for an eye-catching plant to add height and interest, this is our go-to plant for incredibly natural Summer displays. Its elegant spikes of tubular, rose-pink flowers with velvety, spotted throats make a real impact in any garden space. Blooming from early June to August, ‘Panther’ reaches a height of approximately 100 cm, making it perfect for adding vertical interest to borders, woodland gardens, or cottage gardens. Our horticultural team loves ‘Panther’ for its hardy nature and its impressive performance in a variety of conditions. It thrives in partial shade and well-drained soil, and its size effortlessly suits both small and large garden spaces. ‘Panther’ is particularly noted for attracting bees and other pollinators, enhancing garden biodiversity and has earned the RHS Plants for Pollinators award. Its unique flowers make beautiful cut arrangements, bringing a touch of the outdoors inside. The long-lasting spires of drooping trumpet-shaped flowers are produced in abundance, ensuring continuous flurries of blooms throughout the Summer months. Whether used as a focal point in a mixed perennial border or planted en masse for dramatic effect, Foxglove ‘Panther’ adds a pop of vibrancy and wild beauty to any garden, we particularly enjoy seeing it used at the back of beds or used as underplanting for woodland trees.

Foxglove 'Dalmatian Rose' (Pot Size: 1 Litre Pot)

Foxglove 'Dalmatian Rose' (Pot Size: 1 Litre Pot)

Here on our the nursery we consider the Digitalis Dalmatian series as the best on the market. Strong stems, dense flower spikes which feather well, producing not just one spike but multiple spikes. The Dalmatian Foxgloves are not as ‘one-sided’ as wild foxgloves but have a lovely columnar flower spike.  Digitalis ‘Dalmatian Rose’ stands supreme as one of our top choice foxgloves. This regal perennial, adorned with blushed pink blooms and purple speckled throats, boasts not only captivating beauty but also prestigious accolades, including the RHS Award of Garden Merit and the RHS Plants for Pollinators award. These honours recognise its exceptional performance, making it a standout choice for any garden. We love ‘Dalmatian Rose’ for its unrivalled visual impact, with tall spikes graced by majestic blooms from late Spring to early Summer. Its adaptability to diverse soil types and light conditions ensures accessibility for all gardeners, while its average height of 60-90 cm makes it a versatile and impactful addition to borders or mixed plantings. Beyond its aesthetic impact, the ecological significance of ‘Dalmatian Rose’ cannot be overstated. Its role in attracting pollinators contributes to the flourishing biodiversity of your garden. As a family-run nursery, we value not just the visual appeal but also the positive impact that each plant can bring to the overall health and vibrancy of your garden. Foxgloves grow best in rich soils that are moist, but well-drained and can be grown in sun or partial shade. During the first year water at least once a week during dry periods, decreasing to every other week once established. Removing faded flower spikes during the season may encourage reblooming, once the plant has completely finished flowering cut the flower spikes back to just above the leaves. Feed in spring with a balanced, slow release fertiliser. Although Foxgloves are short-lived they self-seed creating new plants each year.
