Campanula Viking 3L
Campanulas are easy to grow and will perform well in most fertile, moist, but well-drained soils in sun or partial shade, although flower colour is best preserved in a more shady spot. Water regularly during the first season until established, especially during warmer periods and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser on a monthly basis from the spring. Add a layer of organic mulch around your Campanula after planting, being careful not to mulch directly against the plant (to prevent rot). This mulch will help retain moisture, deter weeds from popping up in your garden and help fertilise your beds as it breaks down! Cut back after flowering to prevent self-seeding and to encourage a second flush of flowers. Divide plants every 3-5 years to maintain vigour. Protect the tender foliage from slug damage using environmentally friendly slug pellets or beer traps. Overall Campanulas are low maintenance due to being so hardy.
