Typical applications are ventilation duct monitoring in a variety of processes. The clamp flange arrangement allows easy removal of the detector for service access and during fitment to the process. Internal baffles protect the detector and allow the optional fitting of filters if required. Typically the probe operates down to a minimum of 3MS. The internal baffle arrangement provides a degree of protection against foreign matter and a degree of temperature protection up to a process temperature of 70 degrees centigrade. In the event of flow failure gas will still be monitored by diffusion into the probe although response times will be extended. A calibration port is provided as part of the assembly.

The hoods are supplied in multiples of 0.5M up to 2.5M long. They are usually suspended using catenary wire above the equipment to be monitored for lighter than air gas escapes. International Gas Detectors TOC-750-O2 Safe Area Gas Detector - Oxygen Sensor Standard Range 0-25 VolBuilding on IGDs existing Addressable Gas Detectors the 750 Series add 2-Wire addressable technology. Using IGDs Sentinel 2-Wire protocol the 750 Series communicate over the detector power cables. This reduces cabling and terminations whilst improving reliability. Sentinel protocol continuously monitors data between connected detectors and the system controller ensuring maximum system availability. With only two wires for power and communication existing systems can be easily upgraded using existing cables with the option to easily add more detectors where required.Tocsin 750 Series detector systems have a number of standard interfaces available on-board each unit. The standard PCB set allows interface either Toxic Oxygen or Flammable Detectors. Communication to the system controller uses IGDs latest Sentinel 2-Wire protocol for speed of installation and increased reliability. Existing analogue systems can be quickly updated to 2-Wire addressable systems. In addition each module has a flexible range of additional interfaces to easily add slam switches beacon-sounders and other readings to the system
