ENHANCED FORGIVENESS A new ABS cavity badge is 8.5 grams lighter than the previous version, working in harmony with an injection-moulded elastomer insert. This design allows more discretionary weight to be positioned around the perimeter of the clubhead, increasing MOI--especially in the mid and long irons. The result is an 11% reduction in dispersion , giving players more consistent performance across the set. TOUR-PREFERRED FEEL AND FEEDBACK The elastomer and cavity badge combination contributes to a softer sound and more responsive feel through impact. The head is crafted from 431 stainless steel , a material known for its smooth, solid sensation that better players prefer. LAUNCH AND SPIN CONTROL Engineered to produce higher launch with more spin, the i240's wider-spaced grooves help create more stopping power from the fairway. The Ping G430 iron employs advanced engineering to generate a noteworthy increase in distance, offering golfers an impressive boost of around 7-10 yards while enhancing accuracy across the entire set. This achievement is the result of a sophisticated design that marries a lower center of gravity (CG) with custom-engineered stronger lofts and a thinner face, resulting in an additional 2 mph of ball speed. These improvements lead to substantial distance gains while preserving PING's renowned forgiveness. One of the key factors contributing to the enhanced distance is the innovative PurFlex cavity badge. This badge features seven flex zones, enabling greater bending freedom to elevate ball speed across the entire face. When combined with the lower CG, this badge also contributes to a solid feel and a satisfying impact sound. The introduction of stronger lofts throughout the set led to the inclusion of a 41° pitching wedge (PW), ensuring proper distance gapping and allowing for standard lofts in the more traditional scoring wedges (45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°). SHAPED FOR SUCCESS A look with a shorter hosel helps lower the CG and align it with the force line to increase ball speed and ensure solid impact, especially low on the face.
