Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person action game with extensive survival elements. The title is the debut of Panache Digital Games studio, headed by Patrice Désilets - a former employee of companies such as Ubisoft and THQ and co-creator of the first three installments of the Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time series.
The aim of the game is to show - with a truly documentary verve - the process of evolution that is behind the formation and development of our species. We are starting 10 million years BC and it is only up to us how quickly, with what they know, and whether we reach the end times of the game, which is around 2 million BC.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is an open-world survival game in which the action is observed from a third person perspective.
The game consists in exploring the environment (inspired by Africa from the so-called neogene - i.e. the younger period of the Cenozoic era), finding and using items, developing your clan (by increasing its number and learning to communicate in a group), as well as gradually ... evolving. We start the game with the form of a hominid (resembling an ape), and over time - and with further breakthrough discoveries - we get closer and closer to the australopithecine species, walking on two legs in an upright posture. The player decides which attributes of the heroes he wants to develop, which influences the shaping of the next generations and the course of the evolution process. During the game, you have to be careful about many dangers, especially for marauding predators, as well as for the good physical and mental condition of the members of the entire clan.
