An evergreen with small, hairy, grey-green leaves cushioning rich, velvety, red-purple, four-petalled flowers that are produced in short spikes from Spring to early Summer. We think this is the best purple-red aubrietia as it’s neat but with good sized flowers generously giving an easy to grow mass of Spring into Summertime flowers. Once established this aubretia is economically water-wise, therefore a good choice environmentally. Nectar-rich long-flowering blooms mean the the bees and butterflies will thank you too!
