This performance has been made possible thanks to the FastLayer Core that has been used, which features a soft inner core that very gradually becomes harder as it approaches the outer edge. This core has also been constructed with a lower overall compression, so shots using golf clubs such as drivers, fairway woods and golf hybrids fly much straighter down the fairway.  A thermoplastic urethane cover has been used on this golf ball to allow for much more stretch and bend so that when struck with a golf wedge or iron there is much more friction between the grooves on the clubface to maximise greenside spin.
