In general, softshell is more breathable than traditional rainwear, making it more comfortable to wear when you're active.  Many wear softshell regardless of the weather: You're prepared for a rain shower, and at the same time, the soft inner layer keeps you comfortably warm.  About Water Column Pressure Water column pressure indicates how much water the material can withstand before it starts to penetrate. The higher the water column pressure, the more waterproof it is. A good rule of thumb is that +2,000 mm is suitable for light rain showers/short trips in the rain, while +5,000 is for a heavier rain shower or a couple of hours in light rain. If you're going to be out in heavy rain, we recommend +8,000 mm.  Some Practical Information This fabric consists of 95% polyester and 5% elastane. It's a light and soft material with good breathability, while also being comfortable to wear.  The beautiful drape is especially pronounced in tops, dresses, and shirts, where even with the simplest designs, you achieve a stylish look. The design is up to you: Does the shirt need a small collar? The top a boat neck? Or are you into ruched details?  That being said, viscose is also well-suited for light trousers. We prefer them with a bit of width in the legs, so you once again benefit from the lovely drape.  Choose from many stunning colours.  What is viscose? Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose, for example from wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres like cotton and silk.  Some practicalities The fabric is 100% viscose, is 130 cm wide, and you can of course choose the length you need. Wash at 40°C, iron at medium heat, and allow to air dry. Expect 5% shrinkage after washing.  Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70.
