This ensures that you can achieve a really nice finish when quilting or doing patchwork. It is a good idea to wax the thread with paraffin wax (item number 41031). Waxing ensures that the thread glides more easily through the fabric, e.g. when you quilt by hand. Our quilting thread is OEKO-TEX 100 certified.

It's a great look and fits in well with Scandinavian style. Velvet is sold by the metre, so simply order the length you need. The width is 140 cm and the fabric shrinks about 6% in the wash.Please remember to use the right needles - we recommend a size 80 universal needle. What is Wales?Wales indicates the width of the raised ridges in the velvet that defines the velvety texture of the fabric. A low Wales indicates wide ridges i.e. less ridges per inch. On the other hand, a high Wales indicates narrow ridges.
