Light, colourful and a beautiful drape! Viscose is a popular fabric for many fashion designs. It's a light and soft material with good breathability, while also being comfortable to wear.  The beautiful drape is especially pronounced in tops, dresses, and shirts, where even with the simplest designs, you achieve a stylish look. The design is up to you: Does the shirt need a small collar? The top a boat neck? Or are you into ruched details?  That being said, viscose is also well-suited for light trousers. We prefer them with a bit of width in the legs, so you once again benefit from the lovely drape.  Choose from many stunning colours.  What is viscose? Viscose has been used for clothing for over 100 years. The fabric consists of processed and regenerated cellulose, for example from wood pulp or cotton waste. It resembles natural fibres like cotton and silk.  Some practicalities The fabric is 100% viscose, is 130 cm wide, and you can of course choose the length you need. Wash at 40°C, iron at medium heat, and allow to air dry. Expect 5% shrinkage after washing.  Remember to use the right needles – we recommend using a universal needle or a microtex needle in size 70.

This 100% polyester micro satin stands out for its beautiful, extra soft and natural drape, perfect for those who sew satin tops and dresses and want to utilise the soft drape in their designs. The satin has the familiar glossy front and matt back and is available in many colour nuances. Satin for your next creative ideaMicro Satin is suitable for both clothes and bags. Maybe you want to sew a simple and elegant party dress or create beautiful draping with a cool matching clutch? The only limit is your imagination. The fabric is 145 cm wide and shrinks about 3% in the wash. It can be washed at 40°, always hang dry and iron at low heat. TIP: Satin weaves are not very forgiving when it comes to needle marks. A good way to avoid damage is to start with a fresh needle, as a damaged needle is more likely to stick to the fabric and leave marks. Also, use extra fine pins in the seam allowance to minimise holes. Let the bias tape serve as fine details and beautiful finishes on edges and cut-outs.     Good to know about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. As the name suggests, it's cut on the bias, therefore naturally following your curves, necklines, corners, and edges. This results in a beautiful finish.     How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is for sewing on curves, corners, and straight stretches. When sewing the bias tape onto your project, use straight stitches with approximately 2.5 cm stitch length. While sewing, don't pull or stretch it. Allow it to naturally align with the edge for a neat result.     TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape, fold approximately 2 cm inwards, so it's double-layered. When you finish, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending a bias tape.

Let the bias tape serve as beautiful details and elegant finishes on edges and cut-outs.    Good to know about bias tape  Bias tape has the (almost) magical ability to adapt to many fabrics. It is – as the name suggests – cut on the bias, and therefore naturally follows your curves, necklines, corners, and edges, providing a beautiful finish.    How to sew on bias tape  Bias tape is sewn onto curves, corners and straight stretches. When sewing the bias tape onto your project, sew with straight stitches at about 2.5 cm stitch length. While sewing, don't pull or stretch it. Let it naturally align along the edge for a neat result.    TIP  When you start sewing your bias tape, fold approximately 2 cm inwards, so it's doubled. When finishing, tuck the other end's fold over your folded start. The same principle applies when extending a bias tape.
