Da Vinci - Maestro 10 Kolinsky Sable Brush Size 8

Winsor & Newton - Series 7 Miniature Kolinsky Sable Brush Size 6

Winsor & Newton - Series 7 Miniature Kolinsky Sable Brush Size 6

Widely considered the world's finest watercolour brush! Bristles: Kolinsky Sable Sizes: 9 Sold Individually Professional-Quality brushes Available in several sizes Miniature size ideal for fine details Made using only the finest Kolinsky Sable hair Seamless nickel-plated ferrules & short black polished handles Click here to view the full-size range! Originally developed at the behest of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, the Series 7 earned Winsor & Newton the Royal Warrant.  Offering a rapier-like point, perfectly balanced spring with extraordinary colour-holding capacity & flow control, they're still widely considered to be the greatest range for professional watercolourists. With the same professional quality application as their full size counterparts, the Series 7 Miniature brush range is available in 9 sizes ideal for incredibly fine, detailed work. Handmade in England since 1866 using only the finest Kolinsky Sable hairs, the Series 7 has proven itself to be the standard–bearer in the three essential qualities that define the finest watercolour brush; "Point", "Snap and Spring" and "Flow Control". Point Every Series 7 brush should come to a crisp point and maintain that point during use. Pointing without colour – swirl the brush in water, give the brush head a hard flick of the wrist. Point when painting – drain excess colour into palette and then twist brush head gently to get the perfect point. Snap and Spring The brush snaps back crisply into shape with the right degree of spring to allow the artist superior control with a degree of give and take between the brush and painting surface. Flow Control – Speed and control of painting The larger belly of the Series 7 brush hold more colour than other sable brushes and this makes applying washes so much easier. Along with the colour carry capacity the Series 7 comes with such a fine point too. The same fine line can be achieved with a size 10 as it would be with a size 0 as the reason for the larger size brush is when you want a reservoir of colour.

Arches - Aquarelle Watercolour NOT 22 x 30" Paper 640gsm

Arches - Aquarelle Watercolour NOT 22 x 30" Paper 640gsm

Size: 22 x 30" Finish: NOT Minimum Order: 5 Sheets Lightly-textured watercolour sheets The range is available in several grammages & finishes Traditionally made on a cylinder mould using 100% cotton Sized to the core with natural gelatin, a process exclusive to ARCHES Ideal for all wet techniques including watercolour, acrylic, gouache and ink Available in minimum quantities of 5, these 22 x 30" sheets are ideal for largescale work & feature a lightly textured NOT (Cold Press) surface. Traditionally made on a cylinder mould, Aquarelle Watercolour paper from ARCHES provides a professional-quality surface for watercolourists in a variety of forms & finishes. Each sheet includes an authentic ARCHES watermark, made using wire, which becomes visible when held up to light (note, there will be less pulp in this area). Made using 100% long cotton fibre on a slow turning cylinder mould, enabling even distribution & spread of fibres for a professional-quality paper that slackens uniformly when wet, offering the artist greater control.  This process produces paper with high grammage & exceptional strength, especially when they are gelatin sized to the core. ARCHES is the only paper mill in the world to gelatin size its watercolour paper "to the core", preserving the lustre & transparency of colours whilst preventing paint from penetrating into the paper itself.  This allows for superposing of washes, provides additional resistance to tearing & increased absorption of water with limited deformation.
