Katamari Damacy Reroll is a refreshed version of Katamari Damacy, an original combination of a puzzle and action game from 2004 from the Japanese studio Namco (a year later transformed into Bandai Namco as a result of a merger with Bandai). The original game started its own series, and the main character became one of the company's smaller mascots.
The story of Damacy Reroll's Katamari begins when the King of All Cosmos accidentally deleted all the stars. To repair the damage he has caused, the King sends his son (known simply as the Prince) to Earth to collect the materials needed to rebuild the destroyed celestial bodies.
Katamari Damacy Reroll does not change the gameplay model known from the original title. During the game, we direct the Prince rolling the title catamari - a magical block to which objects smaller than it are stuck. Each collected element increases the size and weight of the catamari, thanks to which larger and larger items stick to it, from pins, candies, etc., to mountains and clouds. However, you have to be careful, because collisions at higher speeds may cause us to lose some of the collected objects, and the larger the catamarias, the more difficult to control them. Over time, there are also new difficulties and new types of missions.
In addition to the single-player mode, Katamari Damacy Reroll returns the ability to compete against friends in split-screen mode. The players find themselves in a small arena as separate characters and try to collect as many objects as possible.
