Agave victoriae reginae - Queen Victoria Agave - The Royal Agave
This rare Agave is a mainly green Succulent with variable amounts of white streaks along the leaves. This plant will normally grow in a compact rosette, often reaching 45cm tall and 60-80cm wide. This Agave has a sharp point at the end of the leaves. This Succulent does flower when it reaches a mature age. A striking flowering spike that can reach 15 ft long extends out the centre of the Agave revealing beautiful white/cream flowers. Flowers are unusual but when they do flower the plant will die but often not before it sets some seed.
No more difficult to grow than other cacti requiring your brightest location for the summer months and nice gritty compost, with attention to watering.
