Mammillaria hahniana - The Old Lady Cactus, 9 cm pot
The Mammillaria hahniana is a beautiful globular shaped cactus covered in what appears to be woolly fluff. This is how the plant protects itself from sun in its native home of central Mexico. This is a clump forming and reaches 20-25cm in 10 years. Each head of the plant has a ring of delicate small pink flowers that contracts magnificently with the white spination. This is one of our favourite plants and often features on our show bench. No more difficult to grow than other cacti requiring your brightest location for the summer months and nice gritty compost, with attention to watering.
