Mammillaria hahniana - The Old Lady Cactus

Mammillaria hahniana - The Old Lady Cactus

The Mammillaria hahniana is a beautiful globular shaped cactus covered in what appears to be woolly fluff. This is how the plant protects itself from sun in its native home of central Mexico.  This is a clump forming and reaches 20-25cm in 10 years. Each head of the plant has a ring of delicate small pink flowers that contracts magnificently with the white spination. This is one of our favourite plants and often features on our show bench.
