Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a plane game with an arcade flight model. The project was developed by Project Aces, a studio owned by Bandai Namco Games, the team that was also behind most of the other games of the brand.
Ace Combat 7 is set in an alternate reality where Earth's history took a different turn, leading to the creation of other continents and countries - although all the planes in the game are licensed machines from authentic manufacturers.
In line with the tradition of the series, the game puts a lot of emphasis on the story, which is developed both through the events during the mission and numerous cutscenes.
Ace Combat 7 was built on the same gameplay foundations as most of the games in the series. Project Aces studio developed a very dexterity flight model and enriched it with delicate simulation elements, aimed mainly at making the gameplay more interesting and challenging. As a result, when playing, there is no realism as such, but we get insanely dynamic air battles and missions of attacks on ground targets, and finally we have to fight a boss. At the same time, each of the available planes is piloted a little differently, which helps to maintain the diversity of the game.
