Liszt Separate Editions are published with scholarly authenticity and are based on the New Liszt Edition. Their musical scores and presentation correspond to the complete edition, yet their extent is far smaller and they cost much less than the larger volumes of the full set. The work was dedicated to Gusztáv H na whose extraordinary performing skills inspired the virtuosity of the trombone solo part. The world premiere was held on 27 January 2002, performed by Gusztáv H na and the Savaria Symphony Orchestra conducted by the composer.

Suite Nr. 2 (H-Moll)

It is only fair that the Suite in B minor by J. S. Bach has become such a popular piece in flute literature. The version for flute and piano of the present edition has a double aim. On the one hand, it offers help for studying the work and solving the performing problems the Suite abounds in. On the other hand, it permits playing the composition (or incidentally only certain movements of it) by those, too, who would otherwise lack the opportunity of having an orchestra at their disposal.

Poly For Chamber Ensemble

Poly was written as a homage to György Ligeti and his music. Therefore the musical elements and the titles of the movements refer to those artistic, technical, scientific, acoustic creationsand phenomena that Ligeti admired.Balázs Horváth won the 1st prize with POLY at the composition competition 'In memoriam György Ligeti' in Berlin, 2007. The piece was premiered on 13 October, 2007 (Berlin, Akademie der Künste, Solistenensemble Ligatura). The performance material can be hired under the catalogue number H-74.

Sonata per flauto e cZalo (pianoforte)

As sources for this present edition served the manuscript marked Mus. ms. Bach St. 296 held in the Staatsbibliothek Preussischer Kulturbesitz at Berlin. The original title reads: Sonata / a / Flauto Traverso / e / Cembalo Concertato / di / J. C. Bac h. Our edition follows closely the manuscript except for the arrangement according to present-day notation (use of accidentals, the addition of slurs to tie the appoggiatura to the main note, etc.). Obvious errors are listed in the Critical Notes. Sl urs have been but in square brackets. The basso continuo marked in the original by figuring is given here in small print. György Orbán

The final volume in the series contains four organ works by Liszt which, musically and technically, are among the most demanding and most frequently heard in concerts, the Ad nos...fantasia and fugue, the B-A-C-H prelude and fugue, Les Morts (The Dead) - and the Weinen, klagen... variations. This collection based on the original sources has been edited by the wellknown organist Sebestyén Pécsi, the musical text is supplemented with critical notes, a description of the genesis of each work and registration recommentations, and information is also provided regarding the main discrepancies and variants among the different sources. Nicolae Bretan (1887-1968) was a great singer and composer who had the keys to create great lieder. He understood that the imagery of poetry deeply stirs the subconscious, that verbal images must be weighed and translated with precise yet unmeasurab le artistry into rhythm and harmony. Given songs that penetrate the listener's psyche, that arouse the listener's humanity, that increase the listener's sense of beauty, the singer has munch of his work already done for him. And the singer who sings Bretan is far ahead on the pathways to his audience's mind and heart. The listeners sense new doors onto vistas of order and beauty, torment and calm.
