Le forme musicali : Per Licei musicali, Conservatori e Corsi universitari a indirizzo musicale
The thirteen chapters of this work cover the history of music from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. For each period, the book focuses on the respective musical forms as well as on their transformations. Great attention is devoted to the following topics, which concur to a thorough musical knowledge: monody, modal and tonal harmony, extratonal systems, semiography. Many exercises, based on actual compositions by the Classical authors, enrich the description of the forms.
