Thunder Tier One is a top-down real-time tactical shooter. This title was created in 2016 and was initially a personal project of Paweł Smolewski, who at that time was working for Bohemia Interactive - a producer of, among others. the popular ArmA series. Smolewski decided to share the idea with Nelson Duarte and Arseniy Smirnov, continuing to work on the game together with them. After a year, however, production was halted due to other commitments by the band. In 2020, the idea was presented to the KRAFTON company - a holding company that associates independent studies, responsible, among others, in for developing such titles as Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and The Callisto Protocol. The project was resumed and more people were recruited to the team (including Pedro Pinho, Jorge Aguir, Lorenz Salvadori and Michał Flodrowski).The action of Thunder Tier One takes place at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s in the fictional country of Salobia, located in Eastern Europe. In the face of the growing influence of the White Octopus - a group of terrorists threatening global security - the title, elite military unit was established. The player takes on the role of the leader of Thunder Tier One, and his overriding task is to stop the enemy before his actions lead to destabilization of the political situation in the world.Due to the fact that the gameplay in Thunder Tier One focuses on the tactical aspect, the action is presented from a top-down perspective. Thanks to this, the player has a wider view of the battlefield, which allows for the development of an advanced strategy of operation. Subsequent missions take place in various environments, such as urban buildings, industrial complexes, dense forests or building interiors. The tasks include eliminating the set targets, saving hostages and taking over points of strategic importance.It is worth noting that the appearance of the soldier we play as can be adjusted to our own preferences. The creators have put at our disposal an extensive editor, where we decide not only about the elements of clothing, choosing between headgear, masks, jackets, pants, and even gloves and holsters, but also about the weapons we are interested in. During the game, we get a diverse arsenal, which is divided into four categories: main weapons, secondary weapons, grenades and additional equipment.
