Stanza one is in unison, stanzas two and three in parts with organ only. The brass re-enters for stanza four. A brief interlude leads into stanza five which is unison with descant.

This setting of Psalm 150 was the winner of the 2019 Fyfe Prize sponsored by the Sewanee Church Music Conference. Big and joyful with a rollicking organ accompaniment, the music bounces motives back and forth energetically, between the sections of the choir and between the choir and the organ. Praise To The Lord The Almighty

Despite looking more difficult, this is a great piece for a level 2 group. The eighth notes are in repeated patterns against the melody in the bass clef at first. There is some mild synocopation and plenty of big chords all rung together. A middle reflective section may be played on handchimes. Then the bass clef melody returns against the upper eighth notes. LV, martellato, shakes, and RT give the ringers plenty of variety.

Little Innocent Lamb

An original "big choral" take on this classic spiritual, this unaccompanied setting has divisi in all parts, a touch of chromaticism that is totally in character, and plenty of variation in texture, tempo, and mood. While your first thought might be for a large choir, the careful writing makes this completely possible for a small, skillful group as well. Despite being a solid new work, the familiar and fun parts of the text are all there with slight adaptations.
