Under produktionen av Sagan om ringen fick Weta Workshop i uppdrag att hjälpa till att bygga upp själva grunden för hur Midgård skulle dyka upp på skärmen. Från de största tornen till de minsta av hobbithålen gjordes otaliga skisser som detaljerade varje aspekt, och även om inte varje koncept såg sin väg upp på den stora skärmen, spelade varje pjäs en viktig roll för att utforska världen den tillhörde. För allra första gången är Weta Workshop stolta över att få möjligheten att väcka en bit Middle Earth till liv, som hittills bara funnits på papper: The Key to Bag End.Det tar hundratals timmar att designa, skulptera modelltillverkning, forma och måla prototypen för varje ny Midgårdsdetalj.
