IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover is another representative of the flight simulator genre. People from Maddox Games and Ubisoft are responsible for the creation and release of the title. The aforementioned duo cooperated with each other before, with great results in the form of the IL-2 Sturmovik and Pacific Fighters series, which are very well received by players. This time, one of the most famous (if not the most famous) air battles of the Second World War - the Battle of Britain - went to the workshop.
The creators of the game prepared a dynamic campaign for a single player, as well as the possibility of online battles for 128 people. The land over which we fight air clashes is very diverse: we fight over cities (including London, of course), villages, road junctions, airports, ports, radar stations and industrial facilities. Moreover, all locations are alive, not just static objects. And yes, we can see people working and moving, machines, rolling sea waves and a whole lot of details, e.g. double-decker buses running around London. The 3D engine created for the game allows you to show all the details with remarkable accuracy. Up to 40 elements can be damaged in each of the planes, and the method of imaging the damage has also been improved: now the damage appears exactly in the place where the shells hit.
