Story
Project Nimbus takes us to the end of the 21st century, when as a result of the conflict that took place years ago on the surface of the Earth, the blue planet is no longer habitable. Those who managed to survive the war were forced to flee into orbit. Due to the limited amount of resources necessary for life, the survivors soon divided into three feuding factions, and then battles on a smaller or larger scale became part of everyday life. The so-called BattleFrames, or futuristic mechs, lead the way on the post-apocalyptic battlefield - players take on the role of operators of these machines.
Gameplay
The driving force behind Project Nimbus are the missions we undertake, during which we are gradually guided through subsequent plot threads. The pillar of the individual stages are battles with opponents, realized in a style reminiscent of Japanese animated series, which we take place both directly above the surface and high in the skies (the list of several locations present in the game includes, among others, a sky city, a sea fortress, and even interplanetary space). The fights take place in real time , at a crazy pace, and depending on which mecha we choose before the start of a given level , during them we can use both an extensive arsenal (including homing rockets, laser blades and shields and drones), as well as and a wide range of moves such as spectacular charges and dodges. Serial adversaries are accompanied by oversized bosses (such as giant flying fortresses) and aces of the skies, i.e. enemies equipped with their own stories, motivations and fighting styles.
