Battlefield Hardline is the first installment in the sub-series of the Battlefield series of first-person shooters. Unlike the previous parts, the main role in creating the game was entrusted to Visceral Games - the authors of the Dead Space survival horrors - and not, as it was before, the Swedish EA DICE team. Battlefield Hardline abandons the traditional theater of war for a conflict of a different caliber - the struggle between the police and organized crime. The player takes on the role of Nick Mendoza, a young detective from Miami, who sets out on a personal vendetta around the United States, aimed against his former partners, whose prospect of getting rich quickly has been drawn to the path of lawlessness. The structure of the plot is modeled on TV series, i.e. there is a division into episodes often ended with twists. The detective sequences, during which Nick collects material evidence and identifies suspects, are a bit of a variation. He can also undertake additional tasks (e.g. eliminate criminals being chased by an arrest warrant) to earn additional money and gain experience points needed to purchase weapon upgrades. The maps in Battlefield Hardline are smaller than in the previous installments of the series. Due to the plot location of the game, urban areas dominate here, although there are also locations set in, for example, American deserts. The game is back in the game, the Levolution system used in Battlefield 4, allowing a high degree of destruction of the environment, having a real impact on the appearance and shape of the maps. The creators redesigned the artificial intelligence of computer opponents, thanks to which individual missions may take a slightly different course when you play them again. Battlefield Hardline is set in the present day, so players can take advantage of a large arsenal of modern weapons, equipped with a wide range of tactical accessories. The game also includes weapons that are not used by the regular army, such as stun guns, shotguns or police batons. You can also use various gadgets, such as zip-lines or lines with hooks. As in previous editions, also in Battlefield Hardline you will find a lot of different vehicles. Players can steer helicopters, police cars, special forces combat vehicles, boats, and even civilian cars and motorbikes. As is customary in the series, the main emphasis is on the multiplayer mode, in which the participants play the role of law enforcement officers or criminals. Multiplayer in Battlefield Hardline has received new variants of competitive gameplay. In Heist mode, a team of thieves tries to break into a bank while the cops try to stop them. Blood Money - somewhat similar in concept, but with a faster pace of the game - pits two teams against each other in a fight to secure a lot of money. In Rescue, the SWAT squad must free the kidnapped hostages. The Hotwire mode is quite original compared to the others. It is a car chase after escaping thugs - depending on the chosen side, the player must lose the forces of order or hunt down the bad guys. In addition, players can play in traditional modes (eg Team Deathmatch). The basis of the multiplayer struggle is cooperation between team members representing four classes of characters: Operator, Mechanic, Enforcer and Professional.
