Spruce doesn't have any of the wild and beautiful patterns of other exotic woods but it is an unassuming stalwart for some of the richest tones you can get on a solid wood instrument. Married with solid acacia for the back and sides, Flight has used a perfect combination of these woods that is favored by some of the world's best luthiers. Tech Ebony is a composite wood used by many high end luthiers. Fantasy Tales

This work, reminiscent of a film score, describes the history of the Dutch town Horn. A broad lyrical theme, played by the horns, depicts the history of this town on the river Meuse. A cheerful Allegro represents rural life around the town and its castle. Following this the horn theme returns and the music changes dramatically. A drum roll symbolises the times of war that the town and castle have known. The threatening music eventually develops once more into the hopeful horn theme, a sign of reconstruction and the future.

El Golpe Fatal

With the sound of trumpets and a long drum roll Dirk Brossé takes you to the splendour of the opening ceremony of a bullfight! The rhythm and the use of South American percussion instruments convey a festive atmosphere whilst broad lines and bright colours describe the solemn nature of this event. The imaginary bull is received with great acclaim with the full band playing. Two contrasting themes represent the heroic matador and the condemned bull. The audience cheers as the bull collapses and strong final chords round off the triumph of the matador. The final quiet notes give a feeling of melancholy reflecting the sad end of this story.
